Bonnie Dixon

Bonnie's passion for dance is easily defined by her thirty five years of dance training and over twenty years of being a dance educator. As a thirty year Forsyth County native and a graduate of Forsyth Central High School, she loves being able to give back to the community that gave her so much joy growing up. Bonnie holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Leadership with a Dance Minor from The University of Alabama. She is also a member of Dance Educators of Amercia, who through rigorous tests and demonstrative examinations certify only the most qualified dance instructors. Bonnie’s first professional dance job was at the young age of sixteen when she performed in the 1996 Summer Olympics Opening Ceremony held in Atlanta, Georgia. After completing her Associate of Science Degree in Education from Georgia Perimeter College, Bonnie made the move to Orlando, Florida to dance professionally at Walt Disney World in a multitude of parades and shows. Her most notable performances include Woody’s Cowboy Camp, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Parade and the Disney Dreams Come True Parade at the infamous Magic Kingdom, as well as High School Musical at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. While with Disney, Bonnie was featured in many vacation planning and marketing materials as well as many major network television shows such as Good Morning America, The Today Show and Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. Bonnie is the former resident Choreographer for Forsyth Central High School and has choreographed over 12 full length Broadway style musicals including An American in Paris, 42nd Street, CHICAGO, Guys and Dolls, The Adams Family, Crazy For You, ELF The Musical and How to Succeed in Business without Really Trying. Outside of the dance industry, Bonnie has been a Middle School Language Arts, Bible and History Teacher as well as a Third Grade and PreK teacher. Catherine Smith

Catherine Smith is so excited to be continuing her dance career at Footprints Dance Alliance. Dance has been a passion of Catherine's since she was a little girl. She can’t remember a time when she wasn’t leaping and twirling. Catherine began dancing at age 4 and hasn't stopped since. Catherine studied at a few different studios around the Cumming and Alpharetta area before finding her home at Footprints in 2014. Catherine danced at Footprints for six years, where she was trained in Tap (her favorite), Jazz, Ballet, Pointe, Lyrical, Contemporary, and Hip Hop. Miss. Catherine has been the recipient of the Director's Diamond, the highest honor at Footprints Dance Alliance, where she also participated in the Teacher Training Program. Catherine graduated from the company program in 2020, but she never lost her love for dance or Footprints. Since graduating from Footprints, Catherine has been studying Architecture at Kennesaw State University with a minor in Spanish. While at KSU, Catherine joined Kappa Delta, and founded/served as President for the school’s chapter of Girl Gains, Kennesaw’s first female weightlifting club. You may also recognize Catherine as our former Head Counselor for our Footprints Summer Program. Catherine's love for children make her not only an incredible asset to the Footprints Dream Team, but an incredibly selfless young woman. Catherine feels so fortunate and excited to be able to work at the same studio that helped shape her into the person she is today. Miss. Catherine looks forward to inspiring and nurturing the next generation of Footprints dancers, and helping their Passion Find Purpose!
